We are the oldest transportation company in Akron, Ohio. CYC Transportation, previously the City Yellow Cab Company was established in 1933. Safety is our number one priority. Service options include on-demand, pre-scheduled, for-hire, and paratransit in Summit County and 5 additional counties. WHY CALL CYCT?
When you call other transportation services they do not measure up to our drivers. The majority simply require licensing with the State of Ohio, a social security number for a background check and insurance.
CYCT requires each driver to:
- License with State of Ohio and City of Akron
- Federal finger printing for background check
- Department of Motor Vehicle checks
- Drug and Alcohol testing
- C.P.R. and First Aid
- National Safety Council Defensive driving course
- American’s Disability Act sensitivity, awareness and assistance training
- Drive, Ohio Area on Aging program
- HIPPA, FWA, Emergency Procedures
